Inshore waters and strong winds

General situation

Deep areas of low pressure tracking northeast near Iceland will bring a strong to gale force southwesterly airflow across much of the United Kingdom. However moderate winds are expected in many southern and eastern waters on Saturday. Severe gales are then likely to develop across some northern and western waters during Sunday, with a risk of storms later in the northwest.
