Exploring data visualisation 

In this activity, young people will explore data visualisation. They will research the different types of weather data, fill out a data-fact file and present their finding to the rest of the group.

Creating a weather data app 

This activity will encourage your group to think creatively by designing their own weather app, to inform others about the weather of the future. They will explore the different data visualisation techniques and think about how to present weather data.

 Exploring weather impacts 

This hands-on activity will allow young people to understand what weather data is. They will explore the different types of data and look at how data can be presented.

P4C activities

The Philosophy for Children (P4C) inspired activities present young people with a stimulus or ‘curiosity catalyst’ in the form of a short video, an image, an article and/or a drawing. These activities will prompt your group to think of 'big questions' about weather and climate and develop their critical and independent thinking, while nurturing open-mindedness, questioning and curiosity.
