We provide 24/7 meteorological services for airlines, airports, Air Traffic Service providers, BizJets, General Aviation, Offshore helicopters, and emergency service operators. We also have a team embedded in NATS en route operations centre.

The Met Office uses various metrics to measure forecast performance, ensuring high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and format compliance. These metrics help the UK aviation industry make informed decisions for safe and efficient operations. Performance is continuously assessed against KPIs agreed with the CAA, reported monthly, and reviewed quarterly.
