Current activities
Lewis is working on a storm cell nowcast and UK airspace sector integration as well as continuing to further the understanding of climate impacts on aviation within the team.
Career background
Lewis joined the Met Office in 2023 in the Aviation Applications team within Industry Science and Consultancy. Prior to this, Lewis pursued an MSc in Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Portsmouth where he gained experience in Earth Observation during his Master’s thesis work.
