Andrew Creswick
Andrew is a scientist and qualified meteorologist who works on weather applications for the aviation industry.

Current activities
Andrew joined the Aviation Applications team in October 2022 and is currently working on the development of probabilistic forecasts of convection and icing hazards for the World Area Forecast Centre.
Alongside his science role Andrew is studying for a Degree Apprenticeship and MSc in Data Science part time with the University of Exeter. As part of the course he is studying Machine Learning techniques and aims to use these in weather forecasting applications.
Career background
Andrew joined the Met Office in 2017 and trained as an Operational Meteorologist on the Aviation team in the Operations Centre in Exeter. He transferred to work at the Army Aviation Centre Middle Wallop in 2019, providing forecasts to defence customers, primarily Army pilots.
Before joining the Met Office Andrew graduated from the University of Warwick with a first class MMath in Mathematics.
