A complex area of low pressure will move southeastwards across southwestern United Kingdom overnight and away into France on Sunday.

Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney
24 hour forecast: Variable 3 or 4. Slight or moderate, but rough or very rough in north. Showers. Moderate or good.
Outlook:  Variable 3 or 4, becoming southerly or southeasterly 5 to 7. Slight or moderate, but rough at first in north. Showers then fair. Good.

Rattray Head to Berwick on Tweed
24 hour forecast: Variable becoming mainly northerly 3 or 4. Slight or moderate. Showers. Good.
Outlook:  Northerly veering southerly 3 or 4, increasing 5 or 6 later. Slight or moderate. Mainly fair. Good.

Berwick on Tweed to Whitby
24 hour forecast: Southerly backing northerly 3 or 4, occasionally 5. Slight. Showers. Good.
Outlook:  Northerly veering southeasterly 3 or 4. Slight or moderate. Showers then fair. Good.

Whitby to Gibraltar Point

Gibraltar Point to North Foreland - Strong winds are forecast
24 hour forecast: Southerly backing northeasterly 4 or 5, increasing 6 at times in south. Slight or moderate. Showers. Good.
Outlook:  Northeasterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 at times in south, becoming variable 3. Slight or moderate. Showers. Good.

North Foreland to Selsey Bill - Strong winds are forecast
24 hour forecast: Southerly backing northeasterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6. Mainly moderate. Squally showers. Moderate or good.
Outlook:  Northerly or northeasterly 5 or 6, becoming variable 3. Moderate. Showers then fair. Good.

Selsey Bill to Lyme Regis - Strong winds are forecast
24 hour forecast: Southwest becoming cyclonic then north, 5 to 7, decreasing 4 for a time. Moderate occasionally rough. Squally showers. Moderate or good.
Outlook:  North 5 to 7, decreasing 3 or 4, backing northwest later. Slight or moderate. Showers then fair. Mainly good.

Lyme Regis to Lands End including the Isles of Scilly - Strong winds are forecast
24 hour forecast: Northwesterly 6 to gale 8, occasionally severe gale 9 in west, veering northerly 5 or 6 later. Moderate or rough, but very rough or high in far west. Squally showers. Good, occasionally poor.

Lands End to St Davids Head including the Bristol Channel - Strong winds are forecast

St Davids Head to Great Ormes Head including St Georges Channel - Strong winds are forecast

Great Ormes Head to Mull of Galloway - Strong winds are forecast

Mull of Kintyre to Ardnamurchan Point

The Channel Islands - Strong winds are forecast
24 hour forecast: West 5 or 6 locally 7 with gusts to 40kt, veering northwest overnight then north around dawn tomorrow. Rough locally very rough overnight. Rain or hail showers, perhaps prolonged for a time this evening risk of thunder. Good except in showers.
Outlook:  North 5 or 6 with gusts to 40kt, soon decreasing 4 to 5 then 1 to 3 during Monday morning, becoming south later. Rather rough or rough becoming slight with swell. Occasional rain or hail showers dying out. Good except in showers.
