Low Shannon 1005 at 1800 on Friday expected Northern Ireland 1003 by midday on Saturday then losing its identity by midday on Sunday. Low Bailey 995 at 1800 on Friday expected Southeast Iceland 999 by midday on Saturday then moving away northwards by midday on Sunday. New low expected German Bight 1007 by midday on Sunday, moving north and losing its identity by midday on Monday. New low expected 100 miles west of Bailey 996 by midday on Sunday, then expected 50 miles north of Faeroes 995 by midday on Monday. No gales expected. Strong winds expected in Fair Isle on Friday evening. These will die out by midday on Friday as further strong winds develop in Viking, South Utsire, Forties and Fisher. These will extend into North Utsire by the end of Friday, before dying out by midday on Saturday. Strong winds developing in all areas except North Utsire and South Utsire by midday on Monday

Strong winds expected in FitzRoy, Sole and Shannon on Friday evening, extending into Plymouth and Biscay by end of Saturday before dying out Sunday morning. Strong winds developing in Sole and Shannon by midday on Sunday, extending into Fastnet and Irish Sea by end of the day. These die out by midday on Monday as further strong winds develop in Thames, Dover and Wight

Strong winds in all areas except Lundy, Fastnet and Irish Sea Friday evening, becoming confined to Fastnet and Shannon by midday on Saturday before dying out late in the day. Strong winds developing in Shannon and Rockall by midday on Sunday, extending into all areas except Lundy by end of the day. Strong winds dying out in Fastnet, Irish Sea and Shannon by midday Monday

The extended outlooks are issued once a day, at 2300 GMT and cover the next 3 to 5 days.

For the extended outlooks the waters surrounding the British Isles are divided into three areas: Cullercoats, Portpatrick and Niton. These three areas reflect the coverage areas of the UK's Navtex transmitters, which overlap in some areas.

The extended outlook forecast contains details of the likelihood of gales or storms, a general synopsis and a general forecast for the area of coverage of each Navtex transmitter.
