A generally dull and overcast evening. Occasional rain or drizzle sinking southwest across the region later in the night. Rain becoming slow-moving by the morning and mainly affecting eastern areas. Mild with mostly light winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Saturday:

Dull morning with continued outbreaks of light rain and drizzle. Conditions improving from the east during the afternoon where a few brighter spells possible. Becoming dry Saturday evening. Remaining mild. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Plenty of fine, dry weather through the outlook period, though often cloudy. Increasing risk of overnight mist and fog under clearer skies with light winds. Temperatures near to above average.

High pressure is likely to dominate the weather across many parts of the UK during this period, bringing plenty of dry and settled weather for most, although it may be fairly cloudy at times. Where skies clear overnight some areas of fog, and perhaps frost, may develop. Southern and eastern areas are expected to be mainly dry through much of this period, while any more unsettled conditions and periods of rain are more likely to affect areas further north, particularly the north and northwest of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Winds will often be light in the south, but there could be some spells of strong winds across the north and west. Temperatures will probably be close to or warmer than normal overall, although some cold nights are possible at times.

After a settled start to November, beyond mid-month there will probably be a change towards more unsettled conditions for a time. This means an increased chance of periods of wet and windy weather for parts of the UK, perhaps more so in central and southern areas. However, there is low confidence whether unsettled, wetter weather or drier and more settled conditions will dominate by the end of the month. Temperatures will probably be close to or above average overall, although some colder interludes are possible, especially in the north.
