Parallel series of HadUKP data

The links in this table are to text files containing the daily, monthly or seasonal totals for each region. Please note that monthly and seasonal values for EWP begin in 1766, for regions within England and Wales begin in 1873, and for Scotland and Northern Ireland begin in 1914. All of the daily series begin in 1931.

These series constitute new, homogenised series, based on grid-based precipitation data since 1910 and extended back using linear regression techniques and the original UKP series. Error-bars associated with these new series are detailed (by area and month) in the two supplementary hyperlinks below. This work was carried out at the Climatic Research Unit, University of East Anglia by Ian Simpson and Phil Jones, and a published paper has been produced.
