Dull and overcast to start with occasional outbreaks of rain and drizzle through the morning, mainly in the west. Turning brighter during the afternoon, particularly in eastern areas though still largely cloudy in the west. Mild with light winds. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

Mostly cloudy and mild overnight. The cloud perhaps thick enough for some very patchy drizzle, but many places staying dry. Chance of a few isolated fog patches by the morning. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Sunday:

Early mist and fog patches gradually clearing to leave a dry, fairly bright morning. Probably turning cloudier during the afternoon but remaining dry. Light winds, staying mild. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Plenty of fine, dry weather through the period though often cloudy. Increasing chance of overnight mist or fog patches from Tuesday night. Temperatures near to above average.

High pressure is likely to dominate the weather across many parts of the UK during this period, bringing plenty of dry and settled weather for most, although it may be fairly cloudy at times. Where skies clear overnight some areas of fog, and perhaps frost, may develop. Southern and eastern areas are expected to be mainly dry through much of this period, while any more unsettled conditions and periods of rain are more likely to affect areas further north, particularly the north and northwest of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Winds will often be light in the south, but there could be some spells of strong winds across the north and west. Temperatures will probably be close to or warmer than normal overall, although some cold nights are possible at times.

After a settled start to November, beyond mid-month there will probably be a change towards more unsettled conditions for a time. This means an increased chance of periods of wet and windy weather for parts of the UK, perhaps more so in central and southern areas. However, there is low confidence whether unsettled, wetter weather or drier and more settled conditions will dominate by the end of the month. Temperatures will probably be close to or above average overall, although some colder interludes are possible, especially in the north.
