BOXURBThe box model known as BOXURB is an operational air-quality forecast model which has been adapted for simple, practical and portable application to urban air quality modelling. It was developed by the Met Office to meet the needs of the UK National Air Quality Bulletin System. Many areas throughout the world are experiencing rapid growth of air pollution from varied sources such as motor vehicles or forest fires. Because of the implications of this pollution, information about its dispersion is of vital importance for establishing how air-quality is affected in particular areas.
