Working on-site with Heathrow
Find out how on-site meteorologists enable Heathrow to activate contingency plans in advance and remain operational, even in adverse weather conditions.
With 80.1 million passengers travelling through London Heathrow in 2018 alone, weather plays a significant role in ensuring customers travel safely and on time.
Weather such as fog, snow and thunderstorms, can have a significant effect on the efficiency of the whole operation, so our Operational Meteorologists work on-site, side-by-side with colleagues from NATS and the London Heathrow Air Operations team to help them make critical planning decisions to keep flights and procedures running on time, and their customers happy.
